The New Seven Wonders of the World

Chichen Itza - called (chee-chehn-eet-sah) in Maya, is located 75 miles east of Merida, the capital of the state of Yucatan Mexico. This archaeological site is rated the most important among the Maya culture and the Kukulcan's Pyramid in the picture is possibly the best known construction.









The Colosseum in Rome, Italy - is an elliptical amphitheatre in the centre of the city. It was used for gladiatorial contest and public spectacles which was capable of holding 50,000 spectators.
